Natalia Gamarra was appointed Manager, International Member Relations for United Fresh Produce Association on August 2018. She brings diverse global development knowledge to her endeavor to further develop the international portfolio at the association.
Ms. Gamarra discovered her passion for the international world while working for the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau representing the city of Philadelphia to international markets. Since 2010, she’s held managerial positions with various associations and logistics companies which is where she first encountered the fresh produce industry. Those experiences garnered her significant exposure to Chambers of Commerce, Embassies and International Trade Agencies.
Ms. Gamarra’s relationships with the international business community led her to a role in the fresh produce industry, driving global development activities. In her current position at United Fresh Produce Association, she works with members to grow their businesses through the development of new international opportunities. In her role, she’s responsible for supporting the development of educational programs, facilitating discussion and engagements to reduce trade barriers, acting as a resource to understand the protocol to export to the U.S. market, enabling connections to USDA and other governmental resources, and providing support, information, and access to a wide range of buyers for international companies.
In the past, she has held numerous committee and task force positions. Currently, she serves as staff liaison to United Fresh’s International Advisory Board, with a mission to expand the association’s international portfolio. She also serves on the Global Women Fresh Network Board of Directors with the mission to connect, inspire and empower women in the fresh industry around the world.
Ms. Gamarra, a native of Argentina who is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian. She holds a B.S. in International Business & Marketing from Peirce College and an M.S. in Business Management from Gwynedd Mercy University.
