Francisco Sandoval Saqui has held several positions in the public sector in the last 20 years. He has been working for the Ministry of the Economy (formerly Secretary of Trade and Industrial Promotion –SECOFI-), first as advisor of the Undersecretary for International Trade Negotiations conducting statistics and economic analysis from 1996 to 2001, and later as Economic Advisor of the Trade and NAFTA Office of the Ministry of the Economy in Washington, DC from 2001 to present.

Mr. Sandoval-Saqui holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon (UANL) in Monterrey and a Master’s degree in Economics from Mexico Autonomous Institute of Technology (ITAM) with a specialization in International Economics and Industrial Organization.
